Every home schooling family is different! God has blessed each of us in different ways and with different gifts. At Adventurers, we try to meet as many of these varied needs as we can. Classes each semester are planned by surveying the families involved to determine the needs of the families. This means that each semester is different from previous semesters. Some semesters may find many academic offerings, while another be more on the enrichment side. All registered families are invited and encouraged to participate in the class planning.
Previous semesters have had classes in European studies and travel, including a trip to Europe for hands on experience. We have produced Shakespeare and other plays. We have studied Biology including a family style lab class where older students presented what they learned and taught the younger students. We have had student led clubs and classes, allowing the teacher and the student to learn together (and what a wonderful opportunity for leadership training). We have offered flag football, robotics seminars and web design (that's where this web site came from!). If there is a creative way to teach something, we welcome it.
